I made sure I don't have any imwheel package nore daemon. I tried different things in nf: no keyboard entry, keyboad evdev and keyboard as it was with hardy. I tried everything listed in the comments before but I'm still unable to use some keys. it is actually extremely inconvenient, because it is a key I tend to press several times before I realize what is happening my up arrow key is now a shortcut for print screen I usually notice this when I'm navigating in a text dialog (like the one I'm typing into now) and have pressed Up several times (triggering a sequence of screenshot windows which take several seconds to appear).

On current Intrepid, when I press the Up arrow on my keyboard, the GNOME screenshot dialog comes up.
